The New York Philharmonic are touring their city – SWR2

The New York Philharmonic has not been able to play major concerts since March because of the Corona crisis. That’s why they are now looking for their own audience. “NY Phil Bandwagon” is the name of the project that presents unannounced concerts in all parts of New York: on street corners, in squares, on sidewalks and in parks. A pick-up truck is the stage, the orchestra is a small ensemble, guest singers are also there. Everything from Bach to Broadway is on the program.
