Now, the updated version of the German SUV can also be ordered in Romania. In our country, the Volkswagen Touareg facelift has a starting price of 60,609 euros including VAT, and customers can choose from four trim levels: Style, Elegance, R-Line and the R performance version.
The Style trim, the most affordable of the 4, starts at €60,609 including VAT and is only available with the 3.0-litre V6 diesel engine which produces 231bhp and is mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Standard equipment includes a digital dashboard, adaptive autopilot, LED headlights, 18-inch alloy wheels and the Discover Pro Max navigation system.
Volkswagen Touareg facelift: Updated technologies and new Matrix LED headlights
The next trim level, Elegance, starts at 65,822 euros and can be ordered with several engines: V6 diesel 231 hp, V6 diesel 286 hp, V6 gasoline 340 hp and V6 Plug-in Hybrid 381 horsepower, which can travel up to 51 km on a single charge. The Elegance equipment receives the new Matrix IQ LED headlights as standard. Light HD and rims with a diameter of 19 inches. Then comes the R-Line equipment, which receives new visual elements and can only be ordered with the top thermal engines: V6 TSI of 340 horsepower and V6 TDI of 286 horsepower. This equipment starts at 74,630 euros.
The most expensive and most powerful Touareg you can order is the R version. The Touareg R benefits from a V6 plug-in hybrid engine, which develops a total power of 462 hp. The Volkswagen Touareg R has a starting price of 97,426 euros.
Regardless of the engine chosen, the 8-speed automatic gearbox comes as standard. In addition, 4Motion all-wheel drive is standard on the whole range Touareg.
