The new Volkswagen Passat should be introduced to the world next year. But we already know that it will only arrive in the more practical Variant version.

The production of the car will move to Bratislava, where the Passat B9 will be produced alongside the new Škoda Superb. The cars will use the same technology. Behind the scenes reports, for example, the deployment of a new generation of plug-in hybrid drive, with a 1.5 TSI engine and significantly larger batteries than today. These are supposed to provide a range of up to 100 km in pure electric mode, and they are also said to offer faster recharging.
However, it is also possible to use classic internal combustion engines, supplemented by mild-hybrid technology. Both petrol and diesel units are to appear in the menu. The new Passat Variant will reach customers in 2024.
The station wagon was given the advantage because it is significantly more successful in Europe than the sedan. In addition, the new electric car will become the spiritual successor to the sedan. In the case of the Passat, the “off-road” Alltrack version with a higher ground clearance and a plastic-coated body is also reportedly planned.

The new graphics on the Russian website suggest what the B9 Variant might look like Kolesa.ru. The designer obviously came from the current generation, but he played with many details. The bow, which, thanks to the headlights, resembles the Volkswagen ID.4 has changed. The narrow lights, connected by an LED strip, are complemented by a new bumper with distinctive holes. A similar one can be found on the Chinese Volkswagen Lamando.
The sterns are then dominated by interconnected lights, whose appearance is again reminiscent of the ID.4 electric car, under them there is an interestingly shaped bumper. However, minor changes also took place on the sides of the body.
Would you like the new Passat Variant in this form?
