Volkswagen has published a picture of the rear of the new Amarok. It can be seen that the manufacturer wants their pickup to gain recognition.
Volkswagen continues to work on the new model, which will become one of the most important news for the German company in 2022.
The new model is being developed with Ford and shares a platform with their pickup Ranger. The Volkswagen model promises high-quality interior design with a new interior, various auxiliary systems and connectivity. The V6 diesel will also be available in the third generation engine.
The length of the Amarok will increase by ten centimeters to 5.35 meters and it will be slightly wider, providing more space, especially for those sitting in the back. There will be space for a European pallet in the cargo box, but the extension behind the double cab has been retained as a visually dynamic and aerodynamic-enhancing element. The name of the model in large capital letters can be seen both on the front and on the back, reminding that Amarox – in Inuit legends – a gigantic, strong and skillful wolf can hunt alone.
The Volkswagen Amarok has been in production since 2010 and has found more than 815,000 owners in 12 years. The latest version of the premium pickup, developed by teams in Australia and Europe, will henceforth be produced in Silverton, South Africa.
