The action adventure “The Suicide Squad” (2021) directed by James Gunn turned out to be a twisted and sickly entertaining contribution to the otherwise easily exhausted superhero genre. And soon it’s time for more. In just a couple of weeks, the stubborn anti-hero Peacemaker will have his own TV series on HBO Max.

In the latest, child-banned trailer has John Cena loaded with swear words and jokes that are anything but pk – do we sense a big middle finger against Marvel’s helely heroes and family-friendly cozy TV?

The trailer does not reveal much about the plot. This is a story of origin for the hero who likes to take up arms to mediate peace. James Gunn should have written the entire first season in just a few quarantine weeks, without a thought that the series would actually become a reality. Now it’s here soon, and we’ll see “Peacemaker” on HBO Max on January 14th.
