In the 16 years since the first reports, the reboot has received to overcome countless problems. Actors and directors changed countless times, and development was also slowed down by legal disputes. Many people expressed concerns early on about whether such an unstable production could lead to a satisfactory result.

Last but not least, the original The Crow from 1994 is also the last film by actor Brandon Lee, who tragically died during filming. Alex Proyas, the director of the first film, therefore blocked any reboot ambitions and has, according to Variety only ridicule remains. He is not alone.

The reviews of the film have recently been published and paint a predominantly negative picture. It is shocking how pathetic the reboot is, judges the Guardian in a particularly devastating text.
