Fiat’s next compact SUV of Brazilian production, was hunted in spy photos while conducting urban tests. It would be the first time that the vehicle has been seen in its production model.
Among the new products that the Italian firm has prepared for the South American market, is the Fiat Pulse. A compact SUV, presented a few weeks ago and that could now be seen in more detail in a few spy photos captured in Brazil.
Although the design of the Pulse was already known in prototype form when its manufacturer officially revealed its name, this would count as the first time that the vehicle appears in real life. The copy of the images is exposed, except for a little camouflage on the doors and rear.
Initially the new compact SUV was released as “Progetto 363”, and it is the model that precedes the arrival of another coupe-style SUV that will be sold in Latin American markets. On this it is known that it carries po code “Project 376” and his debut is set for 2022.
Details at a glance
With the spy photos that we see here, it is possible to confirm the exterior characteristics that we had seen in the prototype. In its lines the design language of the Italian firm, also sporting the updated logo with the word “FIAT” in large size located on the center of the front grill.
You can also notice a modern lighting set slim headlights, both front and rear. Usual elements such as black plastics in different parts of the body are obvious, and behind a spoiler that gives it a subtle hint of sportiness.
The details of its cabin are unknown for now, and when it comes to propulsion figures, the next Fiat Pulse will offer a 1.0-liter three-cylinder engine. with 120 horsepower. While an option below will be a Firefly 1.3-liter unit with 99 hp.
The vehicle will debut the new plataforma MLA, an evolution of the well-known MP1 architecture. With production locally, Pulse is expected to launch in the Brazilian market during the second half of this year. From now on, the other countries of the region will prepare to receive it.
