The New Subaru Auto Center in Riga: Europe’s Largest and Most Energy-Efficient Car Center

The new building of the auto center is designed as a high energy efficiency – almost zero energy building and will be located at 84B Ulmani Street. Company representatives indicate that this will be the largest “Subaru” car center in Europe and probably the most energy-efficient car center in Latvia.

It is planned to install 216 solar panels on the roof of the building with a total system capacity of 78kW. It is estimated that during the year they will be able to produce 70,080 kWh of green energy, providing approximately 40% of the amount of electricity required for the operation of the car center. At the same time, additional energy efficiency will be provided by the heat pumps installed according to the cascade principle, which will ensure environmentally friendly heating of the building.

For the convenience of both customers and guests of the “Subaru” car center, there will be four high-capacity fast electric car charging stations near the car center, which will provide the opportunity to replenish the car’s battery energy supply for the next 100 kilometers within 10-15 minutes. Separate electric car charging points in the complex are designed to meet the needs of car service customers.

“The new car center means both new jobs and will ensure wider, more convenient access to service services for customers. “Subaru” can already be proud of stable and immediate car deliveries. Since the greatest activity in the field of car sales and service services is still in Riga, we see here a significant market potential in order to open a representative office on one of the most active thoroughfares in the city – Kārļas Ulmaņas gatve,” says Māris Īle, the owner of the group of companies.
