The new space shaker from the Dead Space creator is no longer put in …

The Callisto Protocol – The Next Game by Dead Space Director Glen Schofield – was originally unveiled in 2020. Strangely enough, the future-oriented survival thriller should have been set in the same universe as Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds, but it has now passed.

In a message on Twitter, Schofield explains that the link to PUBG is gone. Instead, The Callisto Protocol will sail its own sea, says the game manager.

– The Callisto Protocol has its own history and world. It no longer takes place in the PUBG universe. It was originally part of the PUBG timeline, but eventually got its own world. PUBG is really cool and we’ll still have some surprises for fans, but The Callisto Protocol has its own world, history and universe.

The article continues below the Twitter message.

Otherwise, we still know little about what The Callisto Protocol is actually about. The game’s advertising trailer hinted at a pleasant atmosphere on a distant space station, in what the developer hopes will be “the scariest game ever”.

According to the team, the plan is to launch The Callisto Protocol once this year, but exactly when is uncertain. The game is coming to PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X / S.

A new version of Dead Space is on its way from EA.
The renovation project will be launched in January »
