Prague – The new singer in the group Lucie will be Viktor Dyk. He replaces David Koller, who left the band this summer. Basic quartet of the group Michal Dvořák, Robert Kodym, PBCH. (Petr Břetislav Chovanec) and Dyk will be joined by drummer Štěpán Smetáček, who played with Lucía already in the 90s and drew attention to himself, among other things, by playing in the group Wanastowi Vjecy. Lucie is working on the new album RADOST in a new line-up. At the same time, she is preparing a tour for 40 years on the music scene next year. The group informed journalists about it today.

Viktor Dyk worked in the bands Božská těta, Dorota BB, Outsider, Plavalaguna, Gaia Mesiah. He has collaborated or is collaborating with many artists and groups. He performed in Michal Pavlíček’s musicals Excalibur and The Picture of Dorian Gray, Němcová! and Love is love. Since 2006, he has been a permanent member of the RockOpera troupe, where he portrays King Creon in the rock opera Antigone and Oedipus Tyranus and Mephistopheles in Faust. “Singing in Lucia is not a dream come true for me, because I didn’t even think about such an offer,” he declared.

According to the PBCH bassist. after the first rehearsals with the band, Dyk became actively involved not only as a singer, but also as a guitarist and keyboard player. “I’m happy that the choice fell on Viktor (Dyk), whom I know from the early days of the Dorota BB group. At that time, they played with us as an opening band. Robert (Kodym) and I deeply admired Viktor’s singing, energy and enthusiasm. Since then we have been good friends, ” said PBCH.

“In the fall of 1994, we released the album Černý kočky, mokrý žáby, and at the same time the record Dorota BB Santa Puelo was released by the same record company. Since then Viktor and I have known each other well and our musical destinies are constantly intertwined,” noted guitarist and singer Kodym.

The members of Lucie in a new composition are working on the JOY album. They plan to release new compositions continuously during the following year. So far, Lucie’s latest studio record is EvoLucie from 2018. Lucie will already please her fans with a vinyl version of the Best of recording from 2009, which is released in a limited edition box of four vinyls with a book booklet.

Lucie is preparing a tour to celebrate 40 years on the music scene, during which she will perform in Prague, Brno, Ostrava, Pilsen, Bratislava, Banská Bystrica and Košice next autumn. In Prague, the concert will take place on December 9, 2025 in the O2 arena. “Personalities who have been through the band or worked with it will appear on stage. We are also negotiating with foreign musical congratulators,” said Kodym. At the concert, the group will also recall the musical Lucie, greater than a small amount of love, which was presented by the Karlín Music Theater ten years ago.

The Lucie band entered the music scene with their first single recording in 1988. In the following years, they released seven successive studio albums. Between 1999 and 2002, she won first place in the Český slavík survey four times. Her biggest hits include the compositions Medvídek, Oheň, Srouby do hlavé and Amerika.
