The circular of the Ministry of Health signed. For the positives the isolation remains for 7 days
Isolation of 7 days for vaccinated positives, 10 days for unvaccinated. Close the quarantine for close contacts. The Ministry of Health issues the new circular signed by the direct general of prevention Giovanni Rezza and decides to confirm the road of caution with respect to reopening and slackening that will start on April 1.

Isolation of positives
According to the provision “people who have tested positive in the diagnostic test (molecular or antigenic) are subjected to the measurement of isolation”.

The rules are the same as in the circular issued on 30 December 2021 and therefore:
«The infected subjects who have previously received the booster dose, or who have completed the vaccination course for less than 120 days, must observe isolation for 7 days, provided that they have always been asymptomatic, or are asymptomatic for at least 3 days and on the condition that, at the end of this period, a molecular or antigen test is performed with a negative result “.
For the unvaccinated or for those who received the last dose more than 120 days ago, the isolation period is 10 days.

Close contacts
According to the circular, “the self-monitoring regime is applied to those who have had close contact with confirmed positive subjects, consisting in the obligation to wear FFP2 respiratory protection devices, indoors or in the presence of gatherings, up to the tenth day following the date of the last close contact ».
If during the self-monitoring period “Symptoms suggestive of possible Sars-Cov-2 infection occur, the immediate execution of an antigen or molecular test is recommended which in the event of a negative result must be repeated, if symptoms are still present, on the fifth day following the date of last contact ».

The rule also applies to the unvaccinated.

Daily tests for healthcare professionals
Healthcare professionals must perform an antigen or molecular test on a daily basis up to the fifth day from the last contact with an infected person.
