The car has new equipment focused mainly on comfort, the V12 engine is shared with the Cullinan
Rolls-Royce Ghost arriving after 11 years in a new generation. But if you mistaken him for the old one on the street, no one would probably be angry. For a traditional British carmaker, model changes not only take a very long time, but are rather only evolutionary. And that’s exactly what happened to the most affordable sedan with the Spirit of Ecstasy statue on the bow.
However, the carmaker suffocates that the new model has nothing to do with the old one. According to the press report, except for two things – the obligatory umbrella in the door and also the automatically retracting statue itself. A big change also took place in terms of the chassis. While past Ghost stood on a shared platform with BMW 7 Series, the novelty uses its own aluminum architecture shared, for example, with a large one SUV Cullinan.

The design of the car has shifted to a more modern style. As the carmaker indicated in its previously released materials, it is a luxury, but not opulently revealed. The car also has new headlights, a more discreet front bumper and overall lines. And it also debuted in pure white lacquer.
Even inside, the lines are simpler and very pleasing to the eye. It is a previously announced novelty dashboard on the passenger side, which is littered with glowing lights. The rest is decorated with the inscription Ghost. Traditional alarm clocks have been replaced by a display that simulates them, but at the same time in quite decent and traditional graphics.
Like the previous generation, the new Ghost focused not only on the front drivers, but also on VIP passengers in the rear seats. So only on the owner, whether he will drive or be driven. In any case, you can enjoy the door that can be opened in the opposite direction using the button. The starry sky is a matter of course, including the Shooting star system, which simulates shooting stars. There is to be perfect silence on board, the developers have covered the interior with a meter of insulation.
Brisk acceleration is then guaranteed by a twelve-cylinder petrol engine. The new Ghost shares with the Cullinan SUV. It is therefore a 6.75 liter unit with an output of 420 kW (571 hp), torque is 850 Nm. This guarantees a sedan weighing more than 2.5 tons acceleration from zero to 96 km / h in 4.5 seconds.
