The video has been published by Ford’s European dealership, so we are not afraid that the Raptor version will be dropped from the European offer.

The carmaker announced the arrival of a sharp and off-road Ford Ranger Raptor during the official premiere of the new generation. Now, however, we have finally received more information, including the official premiere date and the first test preview.
In the video, which was published on the YouTube channel of the European representation of the carmaker, we can see a strongly disguised prototype, which is driving on a dusty road, demonstrates a few jumps and there is also a side ride. Detailed shots then reveal an improved and reinforced chassis, which was adapted to this style of driving.

Despite the camouflage, it’s also clear that the new Ranger Raptor will offer extended front and rear fenders. Undoubtedly, proper off-road tires will move into the wheel arches, while the chassis with protective plates will get a good few centimeters of ground clearance for good. The hood, bumper and radiator grille are also likely to undergo the change.
Under the hood of the Ranger Raptor, a proper engine should finally settle, which will most likely become the EcoBoost six-cylinder fork. So far, nothing is certain, but most often we talk about a 2.7-liter twin-turbo engine from the Bronco model, or a 3.0-liter supercharged engine from the Explorer.

In any case, the six-cylinder petrol engine will certainly be a guarantee of greater emotions than the double-supercharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder diesel offered so far in Europe. However, the more interesting character and better performance of the six-cylinder will probably also mean higher fuel consumption. In addition, there is still a risk that European markets could receive an engine other than the non-emission-compliant six-cylinder petrol engine.
Behind the development of the new generation of the Ranger Raptor was again the Ford Performance division, which can delight fans of sharp driving on asphalt and off-road. The new model should benefit from smarter technologies that will handle even harsher hardware. The new Raptor should thus become the toughest Ranger ever made.
