However, the possibilities of the novelty do not end there. In the next three years, a variant with a purely electric drive, the installation of which the MLA platform allows, should also be introduced. In this context, Program Director Nick Miller mentioned that in addition to a battery-powered electric car, the Range Rover could also run on hydrogen. He mentions this type of drive as an “accessory” to the electrical variant, but it was not more specific.

These steps are intended to help the brand meet its ambition to become carbon neutral by 2036. Land Rover is no stranger to fuel cell technology, after all, it is already testing a hydrogen system integrated into the Defender prototype. The project is expected to officially introduce what not to be seen.

The British brand has entered into a development partnership with the Munich carmaker focused on the joint development of new electric drive systems.
