Olden Era takes place again in the same world, Enroth. But this time we are we get there for the first time to the continent of Jadam, which has been mentioned in previous games. We are waiting for a non-linear campaign in which opposing factions must come together to defeat the Swarm, trying to conquer the whole world.
There will be six unique factions in the game, including new ones. So far we have been told five of them, leaving the sixth a secret for now:
- Temple (classic knights);
- Necropolis (undead and vampires);
- Union of the Forest (elves and forces of nature);
- Dungeon (dark elves and underground creatures);
- Swarm (insect-like demonic creatures).
The release of Heroes of Might and Magic: Olden Era is set to coincide with the series’ 30th anniversary, and in early access Steam it will come at the beginning of 2025.
