The pandemic has delayed their opening, but these hotels were eagerly awaited. To (finally) accompany life back in the capital.
Soho House: like an English club
The British concept par excellence, and the ultimate in luxury. If you want to sleep there, you must first have been co-opted. And having paid an annual membership fee of 1,500 euros. With several establishments around the world, Soho House is set up in the Pigalle district, in the mansion where Jean Cocteau grew up: 35 rooms for members, a gym, an interior courtyard with garden, a bar , a restaurant and a rooftop swimming pool for others. A simple recipe that has proven itself since the first club hotel opened in 1995, when Nick Jones had the idea to create this concept above his restaurant in Soho. So British.

Costes Castiglione: the space next door
By buying the Lotti, located a few meters from its flagship hotel, Jean-Louis Costes had the idea of making an extension to offer rooms with larger volumes. Only 35 suites, and a decoration entrusted to Christian Liaigre, of which it is one of the last achievements (Disappeared in 2020). Result: a minimalist and timeless universe, the opposite of the traditional Costes style which made its success, more flamboyant and opulent. A very different Costes “bis” therefore.

White horse: at the top of the ancient Samaritan woman
We cannot do more in the heart of Paris than this 5th establishment of the LVMH group. Located in the old building where everything was found, it aims to become “the most beautiful urban hotel in the world”. Aiming for the ultra-luxury category, the smallest of the 72 rooms will be 45 square meters and the duplex suite will be 1,000 square meters with two swimming pools! The American architect Peter Marino, a longtime employee of LVMH, was in charge of the interior decoration. A chic and refined contemporary atmosphere, in the Cheval Blanc style. In addition to a brasserie and an Italian restaurant, the prestigious table will be orchestrated by Arnaud Donckele, 3 stars at La Vague d’or in Saint-Tropez. The prices have not yet been announced, but it is likely that they will flirt with the 1,000 euros mark per night.

Saint James: a renovation by Laura Gonzalez
It is the only hotel-castle in Paris and it starts a new story on July 1st.In this late XIX building with a cozy atmosphere, the architect Laura Gonzalez (Lapérouse, the Alcazar, the Relais Christine, Louboutin boutique in Barcelona, Cartier …) imagined a universe that would resemble that of a collector, scattering here and there his curiosities gleaned during the travels in 50 rooms and suites, between velvet, woodwork and subdued lights. In the completely refurbished enclosed garden, the Belle-feuille restaurant by chef Julien Dumas will offer free, natural and committed cuisine.
