First the reception hall which prepares for the visit and concludes it with a shop-bookstore, a café which opens onto the garden and two courtyards accessible from the streets surrounding the old abbey. This will be the starting point for three different routes depending on the periods covered: 16th-18th, 19th and 20th centuries.
Then, a cultural center of mediation with a large auditorium, an educational space and documentation center to allow research and feed the cultural program.
Finally, the space, the spaces of the permanent exhibition, literally multiplied by three, up to 3,800 m2, which will allow many works to be taken out of the reserves. A new sculpture gallery is also planned.
Precisely in terms of novelties, several sections have been added, including five period rooms where the Art Nouveau and Art Deco decors will be brought back to life. The new museum will also include a partial reconstruction of the art gallery of Henry Vasnier, one of the museum’s main donors.
