The new Seattle Sounders away jersey celebrates musician Jimi Hendrix. The psychedelic patterns on the jersey allude to those used on the albums of the American artist. This isn’t the franchise’s first tribute to Jimi Hendrix. Before each match, the song All Along the Watchtower of the musician is played in the stadium.

Sporting Kansas City
For the 2021 season, the franchise’s new home and away jerseys feature the logo of The Victory Project. Founded by Sporting Kansas City in 2013, it helps children with cancer. According to MLS, “This is the first time in the history of the Championship that a charitable foundation appears on the front of a team’s jersey throughout the season”.
