As reported on Tuesday in our columns after the revelations made by Var-Matin, Lilian Compan will no longer train the Hyères 83 FC pennant team, 10th in N2 (C) after five days (1 victory). But while our colleagues evoked a sidelining of the technician during a meeting Monday evening, the Var club suggests that it is rather the latter who wanted to take a step back. “Lilian Compan wanted from the start of the season to invest in the club at different levels and no longer in the field. The club decided to accept his request”, can we read in the press release.
A more central role for Compan
A somewhat surprising explanation which comes at a time when the ambitious institution of the City of Palms is not really in the nails in the league. It also confirms “that a new coach will be appointed very quickly” and specifies that his now ex-trainer “will have a very broad mission in recruitment, sports and structural development, and the training center.
