He has not yet spoken to the new head of the ministry, but the prime minister assured that the Czech Medical Chamber will support Blatný.
However, Kubek reiterated that the government is not acting systemically to prevent the epidemic. He is either defending economic interests or dealing with the epidemic itself, he noted.

The current measures are not enough
Due to the increase in the number of people infected with coronavirus, Kubek insists that the new Minister of Health consider so-called hard lockdown, ie greater restrictions on society. “In the current situation, there is no other way than the hard lockdown, because this way the healthcare system will be overwhelmed. We cannot wait for a catastrophe, we still have patients with other diseases here, “Kubek explained the clear position of the Czech Medical Chamber.
According to him, the government does not dare to impose a hard lockdown because it fears the reaction of the public and economic losses. “If we can react quickly, the lockdown will be shorter. We just can’t live in this until there is a vaccine, we can’t do that. We need to react quickly and bring down the epidemic, “said Kubek.
The President of the Czech Medical Chamber is convinced that a stricter procedure would stop the growth of the sick and deceased in the country. Then, according to him, the measure could be relaxed.
