Many Stephen King fans are very excited about the upcoming mini-series The Stand. It starts in the USA on December 17th on CBS All Access, a streaming service that does not exist in this country. The Stand tells of a virus that kills most of humanity. The few who are immune to the disease somehow try to get on with their lives as best they can. This is made more difficult by Randall Flagg, who built up a totalitarian state in Las Vegas and is a kind of envoy of Satan. Among others, James Marsden (Westworld), Amber Heard (Aquaman), Whoopi Goldberg (Ghost), Greg Kinnear (Couldn’t be better), Odessa Young (Assassination Nation), Henry Zaga (The New Mutants), Heather Graham (Hangover) and Alexander Skarsgard (Battleship) can be seen in the series.
