As we revealed a couple of days ago, Niantic was testing a new system for Mega Evolutions and it would be available to everyone very soon. Well, the time has come. We can now make use of the restructured Mega Evolution, Mega Levels and changes to Mega Energy in the Mega Moment of Pokémon GOstarring Mega-Kangaskhan.

Date and details of the event Megamoment of Pokémon GO with the new Mega Evolution.
this event begins on Friday, April 29 and ends on Sunday, May 1, 2022. During this time we will have the following advantages:
- Mega Evolved Pokémon will receive a CP boost.
- All Trainers level 5 and above will have a new special research story available with branching tasks where we can choose Venusaur, Charizard or Blastoise to try mega evolution.
- Mega-Kangaskhan will appear in Mega Raids for the first time.
- Pokémon with evolutions that can Mega Evolve in Pokémon GO will appear in the wild more often. All of them can appear in a variocolor (‘shiny’) version.

- Charmander:
- Squirtle
- Slowpoke
- Gastly
- Mareep
- Snover
- Players will be able to complete event-themed Field Research tasks to receive a random Mega Energy reward for any Pokémon that can Mega Evolve except Kangaskhan.
Mega-Kangaskhan Raid Day
On Sunday, May 1, 2022 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. Mega-Kangaskhan will appear more frequently in the Mega Raids of Pokémon GO and we can find it in a variocolor version (‘shiny’).
