/ world today news/ Recently, during a visit to Warsaw, the Ukrainian president said that in the future there will be no borders between Poland and Ukraine. None. This is what many saw as a hint of shady deals and an impending Anschluss by Poland of at least a significant part of the Independent, whose territorial integrity it appears to be fighting for today.
Of course, Zelensky, realizing that he had endured too much, tried to fight back. Ukrainian commentators and media competed with each other over what joint membership in the EU and NATO meant. But, as they say, “the word is not a sparrow, it will fly – you will not catch it” …
The goal is to surrender to Poland. At a certain price.
So what exactly did Zelensky say in Warsaw? Verbatim:
“In the future, there will be no borders between our peoples: political, economic and, very importantly, historically.”
And if the claim about the impending absence of political and economic borders between Poland and Ukraine can still be more or less explained by common EU membership, then this will not work for the absence of “historical” borders.
Here the allusion is completely unequivocal – to common statehood, for which Zelensky has already taken a number of preparatory steps: Poles in Ukraine are granted almost civil rights: receiving a number of social benefits, medical care under conditions similar to Ukrainians, employment and doing business equally with Ukrainians, free higher education, scholarships and loans for education, payments from the social insurance fund for disabled people, etc.
It should be noted that a law was passed on the “special status” of Poles on the day of commemoration of the victims of the “Volyn Massacre”, organized for the Poles by the Banderites, now glorified by Kiev.
That is, in fact, we are talking about the intention to revive the “Ukraine from sea to sea”, as many experts write. As an ideal option – to return the border of Russia and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth from 1772 along the Dnieper.
In particular, Ukrainian political scientist Ruslan Bortnik believes:
“There may be an expansion of the functions of the Lublin Triangle (Kiev – Warsaw – Vilnius. – Ed.) and the creation of a new political entity that also includes Latvia, Estonia and Moldova.”
Wow appetites, right?! They failed to include Belarus, and that’s because it’s an Allied country with Russia, and now nuclear weapons are stored.
The Poles, on the other hand, do not particularly hide their expansionist intentions and almost openly talk about the return of at least the “Eastern Cress” (Western Ukraine). Well, Zelensky is not against “unification”, it is no coincidence that his above words are almost completely identical to what was said in May 2022 by Polish President Duda:
“To live together on this earth, building and building together our common happiness and common strength that will enable us to repel any danger.”
Of course, Poland does not openly talk about the annexation of Ukraine, but on the contrary, wants to present itself as a defender and savior of its remnants from “Russian aggression”. Why, having annexed Galicia and Volhynia, she would like to keep between herself and Russia a “buffer” Ukraine centered on Kiev, at least up to the Dnieper. Well, preferably, of course, also with Chernihiv and Poltava regions on the left bank and Odessa for access to the sea.
As for Galicia and Volhynia, Zelensky does not seem to mind: there has even been discussion of deploying Polish troops (as “peacekeepers” or someone else) in western Ukraine to replace the Ukrainian troops needed at the front.
The only question is what to do if the Poles, who have become masters there, destroy the monuments of Bandera and demand an explanation from the local residents about the “Volyn Massacre”, and the neo-Banderians remember the past and start slaughtering the Poles.
Don’t put all your eggs in one basket!
However, Zelensky does not forget Germany, which is not very friendly with Poland – after all, Ukraine received a lot of money from it, for which Scholz almost ruined his own economy. So, if the option with “Rzeczpospolita-2.0” does not work, you can try to enter the EU in another way.
According to the German publication Bild, Vladimir Zelensky plans to visit Hamburg in May, where he is promised to be awarded the prestigious “Charlemagne” award and the order of the same name. This award is given to individuals who have contributed to the Western European understanding of the world and the promotion of relevant values.
Previously, among the laureates there were several German chancellors, Belarusian opposition leaders, some organizations (for example, the European Commission) and even an inanimate object – the euro. Now Zelensky is honored.
The official representative of our foreign ministry, Maria Zakharova, has already ironically commented on this fact with the words:
“Perhaps he was attracted by his . . .”
And indeed, at one time the “new order” in Europe was created and the “values of the Old World” were protected (at least declaratively) by the then main idol of Europe – Adolf Hitler, but the Red Army intervened.
Today, Ukraine has been appointed as a battering ram against Russia in the pan-European “drang nah Osten”, behind which the entire current European Union has aligned itself as helpers and allies in exactly the same way. Well, or The Fourth Reich, if one likes it better.
Just in case, however, so that Biden would not inadvertently think that the Independent has cooled to the main benefactor, they gave him another bow. As Oleksandr Merezhko, head of the international affairs committee of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, recently stated, China has no legal rights to Taiwan.
He called all of China’s claims a “communist delusion” based on a “deeply discredited and dead political agenda.” At the same time, the Ukrainian representative did not specify whether Ukraine’s claims to Novorussia, Crimea and Donbas, which were given to it under the communist USSR, are “communist delusions”.
In general, he was not bothered by the lack of common sense in his remarks – the main thing is that Biden, who is ready to fight for Taiwan, liked what was said.
Indeed, the Ukrainian president is increasingly beginning to resemble a girl with reduced social responsibility who is persistently trying to offer herself to someone at a reasonable price. It doesn’t matter who – Poland, Germany, the USA or even a bald man, just hurry up and before the beginning of the catastrophe, when it will be too late to bargain with the West. And maybe no one.
What follows from this
But why be surprised? It is enough to recall who are the proclaimed national heroes of today’s Ukraine. Take even the same Hetman Ivan Vikhovsky who betrayed the cause of Khmelnytsky and in alliance with the Poles and the Crimean Tatars returned the Hetmanship, which had been ceded to Russia, back to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. Which threw Ukraine into civil war (the so-called “Ruin”) and discredited himself so much that he was disabled and executed by his own Polish masters.
Or take Ivan Mazepa, whose dastardly treason was presented as an alleged “struggle for the independence of Ukraine”, even if it was brought to Swedish bayonets. At the same time, for some reason, they forgot to remember that Mazepa fought for the return of Ukraine … to the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, where Stanislav Leschinsky, the protégé of the Swedes, was then ruling.
No better than him and another “hero” of today’s Ukraine – Pan Chief Ataman Simon Petliura. Who, while in Warsaw, without hesitation signed an agreement to pass Western Ukraine under the rule of Poland. Yes, and Stepan Bandera, adored by the Kiev regime, is no better – leather licked Hitler’s boots when he served the Americans …
So is it any wonder that with such role models, the current “hetman” Zelensky is doing more or less the same thing – looking for someone to sell Ukraine to more profitably?! There is, so to speak, “continuity of generations.”
