The new malware Bumblebee manages to fool antivirus programs

Security researcher Eli Salem warns in a new blog post for Bumblebeea malware program that began spreading in late March.

At first glance, Bumblebee appears to be a dll file and is spread through various phishing campaigns. The purpose of the program is to give hackers access to vulnerable systems and networks.

At the time of writing, it is difficult for antivirus programs to detect Bumblebee, so it’s important to be on your guard. For example, the malware has been detected in iso files uploaded to Microsoft’s cloud service Onedrive.

According to Eli Salem, there is much to suggest that Bumblebee was developed by Conti, a group of hackers who supported Russia’s war in Ukraine.
