Apple is expected to launch the M4 Macs later this month, but don’t expect the new MacBook Air and iPad Air models to launch until next year. As reported by Bloomberg.
After launching the iPhone 16 and Apple Watch Series 10, Apple is now turning its attention to Mac and iPad. Later this month, we can expect the release of the slim 14-inch MacBook Pro, as well as the powerful 14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros, all powered by the M4 chip , says Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman. Also expected: iMac M4 and a Download the M4 for Mac mini.
Gurman also expects a “refreshed iPad mini” this month, but the new iPad Air won’t be released until the first half of 2025, along with the 13- and 15-inch MacBook Air M4 and the next generation iPhone SE. He says new AirTags and Magic Keyboards for the iPad Air are expected to be released next year.
Gorman has not announced a date for the devices, although he expects them to hit stores by November 1.
Meanwhile, compatible devices will receive iOS 18.1 and the first batch of Apple Intelligence features on October 28. It allows users to “understand and create words and images, take actions across apps, and leverage personalized content to simplify and speed up everyday tasks.”
Only iPhone 15 Pro and above and iPads or Macs with at least an M1 chip will be able to use Apple Intelligence, a limitation that Apple considers But because of high performance requirements.
