The demand for the new generation Toyota Land Cruiser 300 is huge, and the carmaker is also complicated by production.

Toyota introduced the new generation of the largest Land Cruiser 300 in June this year, and by the end of the following month it was to have around 20,000 orders from its home market in Japan alone. For a car like the Land Cruiser, this is a very impressive result, which the carmaker must have been happy about. But now the high popularity of the model is becoming more of a concern.
According to colleagues from the Australian website CarsGuide, who refer to local Japanese sources, the initial pre-orders of domestic customers exceeded the planned production capacity by up to 400 percent. And to that were added the production problems.

During August and part of September, the production of the Land Cruiser had to be stopped due to a lack of components and probably also chips, which was supposed to be caused by anti-pandemic measures in some parts of Southeast Asia.
According to some older estimates, those interested in cars in the most popular ZX and GR Sport trim levels should have had a one-year delay. According to the Cars Guide, however, the delay is increasing and the latest people interested in the Land Cruiser in the mentioned equipment could easily wait up to four years.

For example, the Australian representation of Toyota should have announced in a press release that deliveries will be delayed by an unspecified time. In the coming months, only a few pieces should arrive on the market, but they will be primarily reserved as presentation cars for dealers.
The dealers themselves should then contact customers and inform them about the further development of the situation, while the fastest pre-customers could get their cars by the end of this year. However, the latest orders for the most popular models will probably be processed with a considerable delay.
