The new Kulturpalast – Kulturpalast Dresden

New: test center in the Kulturpalast

Next Monday (March 22, 2021), a Johanniter test center will open in the Dresden Kulturpalast. 1,000 quick tests can be carried out there every day.

Frauke Roth, Artistic Director of the Dresden Philharmonic:
“We all know that in the future, rapid tests will play a central role not only in everyday life, but also in concert operations. From the point of view of the organizers with great experience in the management of visitor flows, it makes sense to install a test center in the Kulturpalast, and I am pleased that the building is proving to be open and accessible to everyone in this respect too. “

Annekatrin Klepsch, Second Mayor and Alderman for Culture and Tourism:
“For culture and tourism, we have to be prepared for the coming months that the revival of cultural life with an audience will only be possible with a test strategy and strict hygiene concepts. So I’m all the happier that the Kulturpalast has succeeded in setting up a test center for cultural audiences and tourists in the heart of the city, shortening distances, offering reliable tests and creating synergies.

A separate test and waiting area will be set up for the tests, and the side entrance can be used by citizens. The test center will also work here without assigning an appointment; the opening times may be adjusted to the actual demand.

A rapid test is only valid for the day of the test and only states that the person is not infectious at the time of the test. This does not rule out the possibility that the virus is already in the body.
