Kia Sorento is officially coming to the Czech market, so far with two engines. We have to wait until 2021 for the plug-in hybrid.

Current engine range Sorenta includes a supercharged diesel four – cylinder 2.2 CRDi with 148 kW and 440 newton meters of torque, which is combined with an eight – speed dual – clutch transmission. The introductory Comfort equipment includes a front wheel and a CZK 50,000 surcharge for a 4×4 drive. In all others, all-wheel drive is standard.
An alternative is the hybrid 1.6 T-GDi HEV, ie an electrified device combining a supercharged 16-liter engine with an electric motor with a power of 44.2 kW and a battery with a capacity of 1.49 kWh. The result is a system power of 169 kW and a torque of 350 newton meters. An ATV is already standard here, as is an automatic transmission, but here a six-speed. At the same time, the Korean carmaker is asking for the same money for turbodiesel and hybrid petrol with the same equipment.

In total, Sorento arrives in four trim levels. Basic Comfort with a diesel front wheel comes to CZK 1,099,980, a diesel ATV costs CZK 1,149,980, as does a petrol hybrid. The input equipment is really rich, including 17 “wheels, fully diode lighting technology, dual-zone air conditioning, digital instrument panel, eight-inch screen of the multimedia system and a plethora of safety and assistance elements.

Higher design Exclusive costs CZK 1,199,980 and includes Full-LED headlights with automatic remote mode switching, a larger 10.25 ”multimedia system screen or an electrically adjustable driver’s seat. Next in line is the equipment Premium for CZK 1,319,980, which features an electrically adjustable front passenger seat, heated rear seats, ambient interior lighting or tinted fifth door glass.

The ceiling of the offer represents the design Top for CZK 1,379,980. Here you will be delighted by the intelligent parking assistant with remote control (only for diesel engines) or adjustable thigh supports at the driver’s seat. If you want to improve the interior, for 25,000 CZK you will get Nappa leather upholstery with a black upholstered ceiling.
Two surcharges are key. You will pay CZK 20,000 for metallic paint, but the third row of seats is more important, for which Kia charges CZK 25,000. And if you would like to smear even more, you can throw in a panoramic skylight. In the third equipment it comes to CZK 35,000, for the highest it is standard. Plug-in hybrid variant will appear in the domestic offer at the beginning of 2021. The standard is a guarantee for seven years or 150,000 km. The first three years are without mileage restrictions.
