The new Italian brand Eccentrica presents a new restomod of the legendary Lamborghini Diablo. One of the most famous super sports of all time is now more modern, faster, more controllable and more exclusive, but also significantly more expensive.
It’s finally here! At the end of May this year, the Italians tipped us off about the impending arrival the debut of the first restomod of the iconic Lamborghini Diablo, who has already officially presented himself in his hometown of Milan. The reincarnation of one of the most famous supercars of all time comes with an updated design and more modern systems that bring the cult icon of the past closer to the newer fast cakes.
Modern Lamborghini Diablo is the work of the new Eccentrica brand, which was founded by an Italian entrepreneur and collector of Lamborghini cars named Emanuel Colombini. For the most modern evolution of the Diablo, he teamed up with Italian designers from the BorromeodeSilva design studio, experienced engineers and technicians and world-renowned manufacturers of the necessary components such as Pirelli, Brembo, Capristo or Alcantara.
The main goal was to combine the cult of the original bull supersport with greater exclusivity and modern driving capabilities. She gets eccentric inspired by the extreme Diablo GTR and according to the circuit special began to improve the road variant. He reveals that almost every body panel is at least lighter than the original. During the development, it mainly focused on exotic materials, such as they are carbon or titanium from a 3D printer.
The new Diablo is like that overall stiffer and lighter than the original. The basis of the restomod is the original model with the iconic flip-up headlights, to which the technicians have improved the atmosphere 5.7 liter fork twelve cylinder. They are new new camshafts, valves and Capristo exhaust. With the resulting 404 kW (550 horses) a 600 Nm it is 42 kW (58 hp) more powerful than the original Diablo.
It accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds and promises maximal speed 335 kilometers per hour. This restomod is also all about overall handling, so it comes with six-piston Brembo brakes and sticky tires Pirelli P Zero Trofeo Rthanks to whose cooperation he will stop from 100 km/h in just 34 meters. The engineers managed to achieve a twenty percent improvement. The ability to develop lateral overload up to 1.2 G makes the upgraded “Lamba” a serious circuit toy.
So far, Eccentrica has completed and shown the first restomod prototype and announced that in the future will produce a total of nineteen cars. Each of them will take sixteen to eighteen months to create and will cost less 29 million crowns. In addition, those interested must take into account that this price does not include the purchase of the starting caron which restomod will be created. It costs at least 6.5 million crowns on today’s market.
