The final tuning of the new Hyundai Tucson SUV took place, among other things, in the Czech Republic, where the expected novelty will also be produced.

The fourth generation of Hyundai’s best-selling SUV has undergone rigorous testing in recent months, which has taken place almost all over Europe. Its dynamics were tested at the famous Nürburgring, in Sweden it had to cope with freezing conditions and in Spain, on the contrary, it withstood high temperatures.
However, as part of testing, Tucson also appeared in the Czech Republic, where it had to show its resistance to the famous Tatra polygon in Kopřivnice. And it’s pretty clear from the video that it wasn’t easy. The carmaker tested all-wheel drive, body rigidity, the ability to handle more demanding terrain and its comfort

For example, while crossing axles, the carmaker tested the torque distribution function, clutch controllability and torque increase at low speeds, which should help customers even in more demanding terrain.
The rigidity of the body shell was then verified by opening and closing all the doors, the boot and the panoramic roof when the car had two wheels in the air. Even at such a time, it was possible to easily open and close all doors and windows, which testifies to the high rigidity of the body.

On a special surface created for the study of noise and vibration (paving with artificially created potholes), unusual sounds in the interior were then observed, which technicians subsequently tried to minimize to ensure a comfortable ride in all circumstances.
Wading tests followed, when the new Tucson had to deal with about 20 to 30 centimeters of water without damaging the sheath or penetrating the water to places where it has nothing to do. On slopes with a slope of 30 to 45 percent, the carmaker tested the parking brake, the Autohold assistant, the downhill assistant and the clutch’s resistance to extreme repeated stress.

After successfully passing the tests in the Czech Republic, the new Tucson went to the Austrian Alps, but this time equipped with a trailer. During the trip to the Grossglockner mountain, the maneuverability of the car with the trailer was tested during ascents, descents and in difficult corners.
It is worth recalling that the premiere of the new fourth-generation Hyundai Tucson SUV will take place September 15 at 2:30 p.m. Central European Summer Time via live broadcast. Production will then take place at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Czech (HMMC) plant in Nošovice.
