The Hyundai Kona shows off its futuristic design in real life, not just in pictures. The new Hyundai SUV received a complete walkaround.
Not long ago, Hyundai revealed to the public the new generation of the Kona compact SUV. The new generation of the popular model from the range of the Korean car manufacturer has a futuristic design, which we could admire in the photos, but now it has been filmed in the real world.
The video presentation was posted on YouTube, on the channel The Mount, and introduces us to both the outside and the inside of the newest generation of the Kona SUV. The car retains the character of the original model, but brings the design features to a much more modern level. Now, the compact model aligns with the other models, such as those in the Ioniq or Tucson range.
On the outside, the car has the new LED strip that spans the entire width of the car, below which are the headlights with LED technology. The side protections in black plastic depart from the headlights, which retain the identity of the original Kona. The side incorporates the Z-shaped line we’ve seen on other Hyundai models before, and the rear follows the format of the front. There is an LED strip running across the tailgate and the taillights are integrated into the ends of the bumper.
Hyundai Kona has an elegant interior, full of modern details
As we can see from the video presentation of the car, its interior incorporates pleasant materials and colors with modern technologies. The seats with which the model was filmed have electric adjustments and have upholstery with an interesting color scheme. The steering wheel also keeps the same color scheme.
Behind the three-spoke steering wheel is a panel that includes two large screens, similar to those we have seen on other models from the Kia-Hyundai group. Even so, Hyundai preferred to keep the media and climate controls in physical form. This can be an advantage, especially since they can be used much more easily without having to take your eyes off the road.
The transmission selector has been moved to the steering column, and on the center console we find the selector for the driving modes and the controls for the heated seats or for the car cameras.
All in all, the new Hyundai Kona has a playful character with an exterior drawn in current range lines Hyundai, and an interior that seems to be quite airy, with effect details.
