There has been much speculation about the successor to the current “Six”. Maybe it’ll be a butt and get a six-cylinder. Today we dare to speculate what such a novelty might look like.

Mazda fans gave the hope of a larger Japanese sedan and a derived station wagon with six-cylinder and rear-wheel drive completely new SUV CX-60. It is mounted on a new platform for large cars, which prefers the rear wheels as standard and allows the installation of petrol and diesel six-cylinder. In addition, the latter will be offered in Europe!

We assume that the new Mazda 6, whose official premiere is expected in the next two years, will receive the same technical basis. It is still too early for details on the engines and design, but we can already get acquainted with the possible form of both body variants. The creator of the visualizations is the author performing under the nickname Sugar Design and it’s no big surprise that he was inspired by the recently introduced SUV.

In addition to the in-line six-cylinder, the “six” could look forward to another new Mazda drive, namely a plug-in hybrid betting on a 2.5-liter four-cylinder with electric assistance. The CX-60 has an output of 241 kW and 500 newton meters of torque. The battery with a capacity of 17.8 kWh is enough for a range of 63 kilometers of pure electric driving and because it is located under the rear seats, it does not cut anything from the luggage compartment.
