The Nintendo Switch 2 will most likely be a really hyped game console
The main novelty should be the possibility of 4K output at 60 frames per second
According to current speculation, it seems that buying the original Nintendo Switch in 2023 is becoming more and more pointless. The introduction of the new generation is relatively close, which should bring a big shift in performance and overall user experience from the console.
Switch 2 full of power
In a recent article, we reported that the console will be unveiled sometime between this fall and next spring, with sales expected to begin within a few months of the launch. In comparison, the first generation Nintendo Switch was introduced on October 20, 2016 and did not go on sale until March 2017.
As for the performance shift, unfortunately it is not yet clear what hardware the manufacturer will choose. Tipper NateTheHate however, in his “What We Know” recap video, he stated that the console’s demo footage seen behind closed doors at Gamescom 2023 showed The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in 4K resolution at 60 fps with Nvidia DLSS.
Moreover, the demo was said not to be interrupted by a single loading screen. Again, we allow ourselves a small comparison. This is a big shift, because the original Switch only supported Full HD output to the TV at 30 fps. NateTheHate also talks about the Matrix Awakens demo, a playable demonstration of the capabilities of the new Unreal Engine 5. The 2nd generation Switch is said to demonstrate better ray tracing in this demo than the PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S.
When is the new Nintendo coming out?
At the end of the video, the YouTuber stirs the waters regarding the introduction of the new console. Again, he states that it may be released this year, or in the spring of next year. It is not clear whether the leaked time windows foreshadow an official presentation or a direct launch.

Somewhat unhappy speculations talk about the equipment – the new generation Switch should offer an LCD display panel. And this despite the fact that even the first generation, which came with an OLED variant during its life cycle, has also abandoned it. It is OLED that is more suitable for use with a portable console/handheld, as it offers better viewing angles and also makes it easier to consume content while outdoors.
