The album, entitled “Shapeshifter”, includes ten different compositions in moods and stylistics, created by BDM between January and June 2021.

“The title of the album” Shapeshifter “(or in Latvian – one who can change the form) aptly describes both the content of the album and me as a person. The album is multi-layered and colorful in terms of mood and content, and so am I. Sometimes I am calm and “Cold – blooded, but sometimes passionate and emotional. I’m changeable, and so is the music I create. This album perfectly reflects that,” explains BDM.

Along with the BDM album, you can also hear such local musicians as Kurt from the association S’T’A and the new, rising star – singer Diona Liepiņa, hip-hop performers Amanito and the already mentioned HUNN.

In the compositions included in her debut album, rapper BDM touches on always relevant topics – the struggle with the challenges of life, the loss of a loved one, a woman’s financial independence, love and sex, resistance to prevailing dogmas and stereotypes.

The authors of the instrumental accompaniment of the songs included in the album are foreign producers, but the album is recorded Prime Time Studio In Jelgava, where it was mixed and mastered by the musician Fakts (Jānis Šmēdiņš).

BDM’s song “Too Many”, which also features rapper HUNN and whose video has reached music lovers at the same time as BDM’s debut album, is a sensual and passionate relationship story. The slightly psychedelic visual screening of the song was created by an association of multimedia artists Let the Good Time Roll (Reinis Šiballo and Mairis Bērzkalns).
