After two days ago Ford introduced the updated van Tourneo, which is practically a rebranded version of the VW Caddy, now the brand has shown another model that has received some news for the 2022 model year. The fourth generation of the model debuted in 2018, and now receives a facelift to update its vision and technology for the next few years.
The visual changes start in the front, where a new grille with a large Ford logo occupies a central place, and around it we see the new headlights, which are now standard with LED technology. The side line remains the same as before the facelift, and in the back we also find lights with a new look and LED technology.
Depending on the version you choose, Connected, Active, Titanium, ST-Line or ST there are changes in the bumpers and wheels, as well as the spoiler above the trunk, which is much more pronounced in the last two levels of equipment.
The most powerful version of the ST retains the 2.3-liter gasoline engine with 276 horsepower, while receiving new wheels, sports seats that are no longer the work of Recaro and new colors.
Other versions can be ordered with the 1.0-liter 123-horsepower or 153-horsepower EcoBoost engine, equipped with soft hybrid technology, which can now be configured with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
For fans of “pure” gasoline, it is possible to order a version without this technology, respectively with 98 or 123 horsepower, but with a 6-speed manual transmission. Diesel fans should be satisfied only with the 1.5-liter unit with 94 or 118 horsepower.
The big change in the interior is the placement of a huge 13.2-inch touchscreen screen, along with the new SYNC 4 system. There is already the control of the air conditioning system, and analog devices have been replaced by a display in front of the driver.
