The new edition of Apple’s Swift Student Challenge will begin in February 2025

The Swift Student Challenge organized by Apple gave thousands of students around the world the opportunity to showcase their creativity and develop real-world skills. Through this challenge, students join an international community of Swift developers, the programming language used by professionals, to design the next generation of innovative apps. Students will be able to send their proposals for the Swift Student Challenge 2025 in February, for three weeks. Students, trainers and their representatives can find out how to prepare for the challenge and register to be notified of the opening of participation on developer.apple.com. Apple will name a total of 350 winners of the Swift Student Challenge, whose entries demonstrate excellence in the areas of innovation, creativity, societal impact or inclusiveness. From this talented group, 50 “Distinguished Winners” will receive additional recognition and be invited to Apple’s Cupertino headquarters next summer.

“At Apple, we are committed to supporting and supporting the next generation of developers. Every year, we’re impressed by the ingenuity of the apps students design, and we can’t wait to see what the next edition of the challenge has in store,” said Susan Prescott, Apple’s Vice President of Worldwide Developer Relations.

Apple also offers up-to-date resources from Swift Programming Clubwhich will help students prepare for the Swift Student Challenge, while allowing them to join a community and develop skills that will benefit them in their future careers. The Swift Coding Club Starter Kit provides activities that will help students who are passionate about app development learn more about Swift and SwiftUI, and share that knowledge with their peers. In addition, new tutoriels Develop in Swift will help students begin their journey to a career as an app developer with Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode, Apple’s integrated development environment, by creating innovative apps for Apple platforms.
