In “Tatort: Liebe mich” the Dortmund team has to deal with a serial killer. But not only the perpetrator becomes a problem for Faber, Bönisch, Pawlak and Herzog. At the end there is a big bang.
The “Tatort” team led by Peter Faber (Jörg Hartmann) and Martina Bönisch (Anna Schudt) has been hunting criminals in Dortmund for ten years. To celebrate the anniversary properly, crime fans will be treated to a special case on Sunday in “Tatort: Liebe mich”, which can be seen in the first from 8:15 p.m.
A cold-blooded killer challenges the investigators and their colleagues Jan Pawlak (Rick Okon) and Rosa Herzog (Stefanie Reinsperger). Incidentally, the four commissioners have to nibble on their private problems. Family differences, a tragic past and heartbreak are followed by a big bang at the end.
That’s what “crime scene: love me” is about
Feline Wagner disappeared without a trace a year ago – a good friend reported her missing at the time. During the preparations for an urn burial, her corpse is accidentally dug up in a burial forest. Arriving at the site, Inspector Peter Faber cannot concentrate on the case. Because Martina Bönisch is arguing with her ex, the KTUler Sebastian Haller (Tilman Strauss). This not only burdens Bönisch privately, but also at work – which Faber is anything but cold about.
Meanwhile, Rosa Herzog and Jan Pawlak contacted the Ihle funeral home. A gravesite was reserved there a few days after Feline Wagner’s disappearance. A man paid cash and gave a false name. But that’s not all: Another victim is discovered a few steps from the first location. Exactly one year elapsed between the two murders – and soon twelve months will have passed again.

Is it worth turning on?
Definitely! For the tenth anniversary, the makers have once again put a lot of effort into it. The thriller illuminates several exciting stories without getting bogged down. The various storylines that played a role in the previous cases are picked up again and spun further. Bönisch struggles with her love life and Pawlak has his hands full with his little daughter.
And Faber? The otherwise rough inspector seems almost balanced in this thriller. There is also a reason for this: “Faber is in love, has been for a long time, but finally he is beginning to give up his behavior towards Martina Bönisch,” explains actor Jörg Hartmann in an interview with the broadcaster.
Meanwhile, Bönisch is struggling with her ex Haller, which was already apparent in the last case “Greed and Fear” in early January. The KTUler is an offended narcissist who is increasingly becoming a danger. The only good thing about it: it reveals a new side of Faber. In general, feelings play a major role in this case. The Dortmund fan has a comparatively harmonious team in front of him this time. Which is mainly due to Bönisch and Faber, who are getting closer and closer.
Dortmund fans should have tissues ready
The two characters have also experienced a lot together in the past ten years. There were changes in the team, but “Jörg Hartmann and Anna Schudt certainly form the main axis thanks to their continuity,” says director Torsten C. Fischer. “These two great actors have continued to explore, deepen and refine their roles in this format, playing with the limits of their characters.” But they always had outstanding actors at their side – “just a quartet”.
In the current quartet, Stefanie Reinsperger, aka Rosa Herzog, is the newcomer. If she was still in the background in the previous cases, that changes abruptly in this “crime scene”. Her past catches up with her and the viewer gets closer to the character and her life. In addition, Herzog finds himself in a dangerous situation – actress Stefanie Reinsperger impressively demonstrates her skills. But above all, the end of “Tatort: Liebe mich” will burn in the viewer. Dortmund fans should have tissues ready.
