At the beginning of 2023, a new line of DIGMA PRO electronics entered the domestic market. Under this brand, the MERLION group of companies supplies laptops of its own brand made in China to Russia. Sales debuted with the youngest of the new products Sprint M, and a little later, the laptop of the second Digma Pro Fortis M series became available. The device is positioned as a business book for a professional approach to tasks. We decided to study the technical parameters of the laptop and understand who it can suit.
The laptop is made in a combined case made of metal and plastic. The full-sized keyboard has a numeric keypad and backlit keys. The weight of the device is 2.2 kg, which is not much for this size. Privacy is protected by a fingerprint scanner and a kensington lock. The 15.6-inch matte screen is implemented on an IPS matrix with a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. Digma Pro Fortis M released in several configurations on different chipsets. At the same time, there are differences in other parameters, even in the size of the display. In our case, a 2-core Intel Core i3 10 110U with a frequency of 2.1 GHz and the ability to overclock in turbo mode up to 4.1 GHz is installed. Integrated video card, Intel UHD Graphics 620.
RAM used DDR4 in the amount of 8 GB. The drive is represented by a 256 GB solid state SSD. There is a built-in card reader to support microSD cards. The device was equipped with a 5500 mAh battery with an operating voltage of 11.4 volts. Communications are carried out by Wi-Fi 802.11ac and Bluetooth 5.
The connectors were not stingy: on the side there are two pairs of fully functional USB Type-A and Type-C ports of different standards from 2.0 to 3.2. There’s also an HDMI slot, and there’s no 3.5mm mini-jack on this build. 2 speakers for stereo sound and a webcam with a minimum resolution of 2 MP were brought to the case. There is a key to mechanically turn off the camera and microphone, but not in all assemblies.
Due to the assembly options that can be studied in detail on the official website, the technical description of the product on the marketplaces is not always correct. Before buying, it is advisable to clarify the exact configuration with the seller, especially since prices vary greatly. Minimum cost laptop Digma Pro Fortis M is equal to 33 095 r. on Yandex.Market. This is the price of a device without an operating system installed. The product received quite positive reviews, especially buyers note the build quality and performance. But autonomy was not enough for many, which is expected.
