It may seem that the Speed version is all about speed. It starts at a maximum of 335 km / h, which is only 2 km / h more than the default W12 variant. From zero to 100 km / h, the time decreased by only one tenth to 3.6 s.

The engine with a specific arrangement of cylinders in the letter W has 24 hp more, ie 659 hp and a constant 900 newton meters of maximum torque. Still not very big differences, it seems. However, the Speed version should earn its nickname mainly due to its different tuning.
–
The eight-speed dual-clutch transmission already has different software, shifts faster and lets the twice-supercharged six-liter spin at higher speeds. In Sport mode, shifting is even twice as fast as the “standard” version of the W12.
–
The chassis is also tuned differently. Adaptive silencers with three-stage air bellows are stiffer in sports mode, active stabilizers are then connected to a 48V network for fast reactions.
–
The combination of rear-wheel steering, all-wheel drive with intelligent torque distribution and an electronic self-locking differential is intended to ensure better maneuverability of the touring compartment, including more natural accelerator pedal control. Carbon-ceramic brake discs are also available as an option, saving 33 kilograms of unsprung weight.
–
Externally, the Speed version can be distinguished by dark exterior details, including the mask, thanks to carbon fiber sill extensions or different exhaust tailpipes. 22-inch wheels are also special.
–
Although the customer can choose an elegant combination of wood and light upholstery inside, the carmaker deliberately presents the novelty in a dark configuration with red accessories and seats covered with Alcantara. Special is the carbon lining and several Speed inscriptions.
