For many years, Ciudad Juárez has been the scene of unprecedented violence fueled by cocaine trafficking. Located on the Texas border, this city represents a strategic location for bringing cocaine into the United States. Indeed, in ten years, no less than 200,000 murders have been committed in the country, a figure which exceeds the statistics for Iraq and Afghanistan. Lives which are taken in order to ensure the continuation of their activities linked to their trafficking.

How does this drug get to the United States?

With its 9 million inhabitants, New York is the city where the most cocaine is consumed in the world. Before being transported to the United States, dozens of kilos of cocaine arrive every day in Ciudad Juárez from Colombia. Subsequently, these packages are hidden in several parts of the cars that cross the border, such as the doors whose trim is removed to put several kilos of drugs inside. With the help of corrupt police officers, several of these cars will then be able to cross one of the most monitored borders in the world: that of El Paso.
