The “Law on the Saving of Energy and the Use of Renewable Energy for Heating and Cooling in Buildings (Building Energy Act – GEG)” was passed by the Bundestag and Bundesrat and came into force on November 1, 2020. It combines the EnEV, EEWärmeG and EnEG in one work with 114 paragraphs and 11 appendices.
The number of paragraphs alone makes it clear that the simplification hoped for from the merger has not taken place. Due to new parts of the law, the procedures are becoming more complex and there are new tasks and requirements for planners, contractors, building owners and building authorities. These are presented in a practice-oriented manner in the video course.
