the new anime version of the Fishman Island Saga is slowing down

The debut of the new anime version of One Piece dedicated to the Fish-Man Island arc (Fish-Man Saga) has been postponed due to the Major League Baseball (MLB) World Series. One Pieceone of anime’s longest-running and iconic series, continues to surprise fans with new projects. This fall, fans were ready to dive in in this sort of remaster of the Fish-Man Island arc, but a recent announcement revealed that the episode was postponed at the last minute, as we see su Comic Book.

The Toei Animation team confirmed the news of the delay with an official statement: “The first episode of One Piece: Special Edit – Fish-Man Island Arc, scheduled for October 27, has been postponed due to the live broadcast of the MLB World Series. We apologize to everyone who was looking forward to the event. The episode is now rescheduled for November 3. Be sure to tune in.”

The reason for the delay is related to the live broadcast of the second game of the MLB World Series. The game, broadcast on October 26, overlaps with the air time of One Piece in Japan, which prompted Toei to postpone the episode rather than delay the match.

This is not surprising, given that baseball is a much-loved sport in Japan, with athletes such as Shohei Ohtani, a Japanese star for the Dodgers, having a huge following in his native country. The interest in the World Series is therefore very high, leading Ohtani to surpass Luffy in importance on this occasion.

What to expect from this new version of the saga?

Despite the delay, fans won’t have to wait long. The remaster will debut on November 3rd and we’ve already had a preview of what’s to come. The Fish-Man Island arc will start from the beginning, where we will see the reunion of the Mugiwara crew after their training phase. This arc marks a turning point in the story, where the crew members display new skills learned during their time apart.

This remaster will feature sound Improved Dolby, visual updates and color filters, all to give the arc the aesthetics of the Wano Country saga. Fans are excited to see this new look.
