The new film by DreamWorks Animation will be released in German cinemas tomorrow, Thursday, June 29, 2023. In the sea adventure “Ruby Dives” (USA 2023; OT: “Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken”), a schoolgirl suddenly has to take responsibility when she learns that she descends from a royal family of courageous sea kraken warriors. The animated film was directed by Faryn Pearl and Kirk DeMicco, who received an Oscar nomination for “The Croods” (USA 2013). Well-known actors such as Jane Fonda, Toni Collette, Will Forte and Lana Condor can be heard in the original. According to new retailer information, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment will release “Ruby Dives Down” on Blu-ray later this year in a simple keep case. A final release date and details on the sound formats and equipment are still pending. The HD home cinema implementation can already be pre-ordered in German online shops. Synopsis: No matter how hard she tries, Ruby Gillman just can’t connect at Oceanside High School. But then she makes a discovery that goes beyond her wildest dreams: Ruby descends from a royal line of sea kraken warriors and is to take her grandmother’s throne. As the warrior queen of the seven seas, her grandmother has sworn to protect the oceans from power-crazed mermaids.
