What is Lidl’s ethylene oxide product

Lidl suffered a food recall in connection with the sale of a specific product. This is the Vegan Mozzarelli, a vegetable item made from rapeseed oil and almond flour. The Ministry of Health has detected the presence of ethylene oxide after various checks and has thus decided to impose the withdrawal from the shelves of the product.

The brand to watch out for is Cemondo while the manufacturer of the article is Vefo GmbH. Vegan Mozzarelli was produced in a plant in Emstek, Germany. The affected lots are those expiring on August 24, 2021, August 26, 2021 and August 27, 2021.

How the consumer should behave

Consumers should take the warning seriously as ethylene oxide is known to be dangerous.
