Chery is preparing to launch a premium crossover of its Exeed sub-brand, TXL, on the Russian market. A few days before the start of sales of new items portal “Chinese cars” revealed the complete set of this car in Russia. It is claimed that in our market the car will be available only in two older versions – Luxury and Flagship. There is no official confirmation of this information yet.
The Luxury modification will receive halogen headlights, fog lights, LED daytime running lights and 18-inch wheels. The interior of the car is trimmed with leather. The driver has access to cruise control, the Arkamys premium audio system with six speakers, a hands-free trunk opening function and dual-zone climate control with an intelligent air purification system.
Also, the car is equipped with a virtual dashboard and a 10.1-inch touchscreen multimedia system. In addition, the crossover was equipped with a rear-view camera, light and rain sensors, a parking aid system and an electronic parking brake. The winter package includes heated mirrors, front seats and front and rear windows.
The Flagship package includes a panoramic roof, LED headlights and 19-inch wheels. In the interior of the top version of the crossover, multi-color lighting and pile rugs appeared. The driver has access to the all-round visibility system with front parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, automatic parking and reversing assistance.
Earlier in the press service of Chery told and about the technical characteristics of TXL. On the Russian market, the car will be offered with a 1.6-liter gasoline turbo engine with direct injection. The power of the “four” will be 186 liters. from. and 285 Nm of torque. With such a unit, the crossover will be able to accelerate to a hundred in 9.8 seconds. The transmission is a Getrag DCT7 “robot” with two clutches. According to the Chinese Cars portal, only TXL all-wheel drive crossovers will be sold on the Russian market.
According to the Association of European Businesses (AEB), Chery sold in Russia in September 1490 of their cars. This figure is 148% more than the figures for the same period last year. Then the Russians bought 602 Chinese cars.
