Due to the increasing pressure on hospitals and the increasing number of positives in Suriname, the Netherlands is donating 50 oxygen concentrators to support Covid-19 care in home isolation.
This urgent shipment is an addition to the previously received 100 oxygen concentrators from the Netherlands. The devices will be flown by SLM from Amsterdam to Paramaribo on Sunday 26 September.
The donation of the medical devices follows the successful working visit of President Chan Santokhi and Health Minister Amar Ramadhin to the Netherlands two weeks ago.
Earlier this week, Suriname also received 100,000 rapid tests from the Netherlands.
