In response to concerns about possible side effects of the vaccine, the Netherlands temporarily suspended the use of the Covid-19 vaccine, developed by the British and Swedish company AstraZeneca, on Sunday.
The vaccine has been stopped until at least March 29.
Ireland has taken a similar step, stating that it is a precautionary measure following cases in Norway, where adults have had serious cases of blood clots after vaccination.
Denmark, Norway, Bulgaria, Iceland and Thailand have also stopped using AstraZeneca.
The World Health Organization (WHO) has stated that no causal link has been found between the vaccine and the formation of blood clots and considers that there is no reason to stop vaccination with AstraZeneca Covid-19.
