“Persons arriving in the Netherlands from the Czech Republic, not only from Prague, should be immediately quarantined for 10 days. Even if they have no symptoms of covid-19 or have tested negative for covid-19,” announced the ministry on Tuesday. The Dutch authorities then recommend that people from the Netherlands now travel to the Czech Republic only when necessary.

People arriving in the Netherlands can also undergo quarantine in temporary accommodation. Mandatory quarantine does not apply to people who only travel by air to another country via the Netherlands and do not leave the international transit zone at the airport.

Germany will probably classify practically the entire Czech Republic as a risk area on Wednesday and will require a coronavirus or quarantine test when entering its territory. Czech Foreign Minister Tomáš Petříček said this on Tuesday. Several other countries have already added the Czech Republic to their lists of countries at risk due to the spread of coronavirus, such as Slovakia and the United Kingdom.
