In addition to the delivery of the German tanks “Leopard 2”, the Netherlands is ready to consider the issue of the delivery of F-16, if requested by the Ukrainian government, Dutch Foreign Minister Wopke Hoekstra announced during a debate in the parliament on Thursday. He promised to examine this issue objectively.
Hukstra has already said that the only way Ukraine can end the war with Russia is to “win on the battlefield.”
The Netherlands is ready to help pay for the “Leopard 2” tanks that other countries are sending to Ukraine, Defense Minister Kajsa Olongren announced, but the delivery itself must take place within the framework of European countries or the NATO alliance. “We are waiting for Germany’s position on this issue, but I support finding a solution and sending tanks to Ukraine,” she told Bloomberg. “Each time we have shown that we are capable of providing Ukraine with everything it needs through joint efforts.”
