Ambassador Mayerfas said that the Netherlands is one of Indonesia’s main trading partners in the European region, the Netherlands is also the entry gate for Indonesian products in the European region.
“In the third quarter of 2021, the Netherlands ranks highest as a destination for exporting Indonesian products in the European region with a transaction value of USD 3.6 billion or around IDR 51.5 trillion,” Ambassador Mayerfas said in an official statement, Saturday (8/1/2022).
He believes that by 2022, the two countries will better face the economic challenges of the pandemic.
“Both countries will recover together and be stronger in accordance with the theme of the G20 Indonesia presidency, Recover Together, Recover Stronger,” he said.
The Director General of National Export Development at the Ministry of Trade, Didi Sumedi, appreciated the role of Verstegen, which has been Indonesia’s trading partner for more than 50 years, especially in the spice export sector.
“This cooperation and collaboration is well exemplified by Verstegen and its trading partners in Indonesia by supporting each other to create an accountable and sustainable business climate,” said Didi.
Primaduta Awards recipients were screened from 303 potential candidates worldwide. Of these, 25 companies were selected as award recipients.

Verstegen is one of 25 recipients of the Primaduta Awards, which is a form of appreciation from the Government of Indonesia to international buyers who have shown their loyalty by continuously buying products from Indonesia and actively contributing to the improvement of product quality and Indonesian human resources. In turn, it is hoped that this trade cooperation will encourage the economic development of the people in Indonesia.
